Archéosite de Montans

logo
The Archéosite archeological museum will take you back in time to rediscover an era when the village of Montans was famous throughout the Roman Empire for the production of Samian pottery. These high quality red ceramics were produced on an almost industrial scale here.

The museum also offers beginners’ workshops in pottery and mosaic work, archeological conferences and even an Antiquity Week in April, featuring historical re-enactments.
